Brigadier General (Ret.) Clara Adams-Ender serves as a Senior Clinical Advisor for The BrightPath Foundation, bringing decades of distinguished leadership in military medicine, health education, patient advocacy, and organizational excellence. A trailblazing Army nurse, educator, and executive leader, BG Adams-Ender has dedicated her career to advancing health, resilience, wellness, and equitable access to care for military personnel, veterans, families, and underserved communities.

During her historic military career, BG Adams-Ender became one of the first African American women to attain the rank of Brigadier General in the United States Army and served in numerous senior leadership roles that shaped military healthcare delivery, nursing education, and patient-centered wellness initiatives across the Department of Defense. Her leadership experience spans clinical operations, executive healthcare management, strategic planning, workforce development, and community engagement.

As Senior Clinical Advisor to The BrightPath Foundation, BG Adams-Ender provides strategic guidance to support the Foundation’s mission of reducing mortality disparities through purposeful wellness, education, movement, nutrition, and community empowerment. Her expertise helps strengthen the Foundation’s commitment to evidence-informed wellness programming that supports men impacted by prostate cancer and other chronic health challenges.
